FEDERAL JUDGE BLOCKS ENFORCEMENT OF FLORIDA’S “DOCS N’ GLOCKS” LAW ON FIRST AMENDMENT GROUNDS
A federal judge in Miami has blocked enforcement of Florida’s law restricting what doctors can tell patients about guns, ruling that it violates the First Amendment, the Associated Press reports.
The “Privacy of Firearms Owners” law bans health care professionals from asking patients about gun ownership unless the information is relevant to the patient’s care, safety or the safety of others.
